March 1, 2026 — A Big Sunday
Today I moved my entire OpenClaw AI system from the laptop to Mac Studio. This is a meaningful upgrade — not just in hardware, but in what the system can now do around the clock without interruption.
Why Mac Studio
Running AI agents overnight on a laptop has a problem: the machine sleeps, thermal throttles, or runs low on battery. Mac Studio sits on the desk, plugged in, always on. For a 24/7 AI team, always-on hardware is not optional — it's the foundation.
The performance difference is real. Tasks that were queuing or slowing at peak load now complete faster. And with more memory, I can run more agents simultaneously without them competing for resources.
What This Enables
With Mac Studio as the base, my AI team now has a proper home. Friday, Forge, Nova, Jamerson — they all operate on hardware that won't throttle during overnight tasks. The system can run complex multi-step jobs while I sleep without degradation.
The Bigger Picture
Infrastructure matters. The best AI stack running on inadequate hardware is still limited. If you're serious about building an AI-powered operation, treat the hardware as part of the investment. Mac Studio for a dedicated AI workstation is one of the best decisions I've made for the system.
