Not All AI Tools Are Equal
I've spent serious time with every major AI tool available. After all that testing, I made a tier list — S, A, B, C, D — based on one criterion: does it actually solve a real problem for business owners, or is it just impressive in demos?
S-Tier
Gamma — Immediate S. Clear about its purpose from day one: help people who need to make slides but aren't good at it. It nails that job. The UI is intuitive, the output is professional, and it saves real hours. When a tool is this clear about what it does and does it this well, it earns S.
The Criteria I Used
UI clarity matters as much as capability. A tool that's powerful but confusing doesn't serve a business owner who needs to use it daily without training. Beam (mentioned in the video) is a good tool — but the UI is confusing, not seamless. That knocks it down a tier.
Price vs value is the second filter. Great tools at reasonable prices earn higher rankings. Tools that hide key features behind expensive tiers get penalized.
The Lesson
Don't chase the most hyped tool. Chase the tool that does one job exceptionally well for your specific workflow. Gamma exists to solve one problem — presentations — and it solves it better than anything else. That's more valuable than a tool that claims to do everything.
